YWCA Computer School

The YWCA of Bangalore City started offering computer literacy to young women (mostly school and college drop outs) with the idea of empowering them and equipping them with employable skills.

In 2017, the YWCA of Bangalore City became an independent institution running the computer literacy course under the affiliation of the National Institute of Open Schooling, Ministry of Human Resources Department, Central Government, New Delhi.

The course offered contains computer basics (Ms. Word, excel power point and Internet). It also covers Tally ERP. To make it a wholesome programme, we also have introduced life skill classes, spoken English for these young women.

The Computer Centre also serves as safe physical, psychological and emotional space.

Education is the best tool to provide access to opportunities in a highly competitive employment market. The YWCA of Bangalore City sincerely believes in its responsibility to provide this alternative by encouraging children to pursue their studies and continue to strive and complete higher education.
